A New Beginning

I can't believe that Spring Break is officially over. I had such big plans for the week - cleaning closets, catching up on scrap booking, reading a great book, dusting, vacuuming....and now it is Sunday evening and while I got bits and pieces done, there is plenty of things I did not get around to doing. What I did do, was spend some great time with the boys - and that is way better than anything on my "to do" list! Poor B ran fever Monday - Thursday. The doctor believed it to be just a virus, and he really didn't feel that bad, but every night around 5 o'clock the fever came back. I drug him to the Aggie baseball game on Wednesday, convinced that some sunshine would do him some good (also convinced that he would not spread his illness to others at said event). We made it about 45 minutes before he was ready to go home! Meanwhile, Lu was an amazing trooper - my true right hand for the week, helping out while brother laid on the couch and watched a lot of TV!!

We finally made it out to do everything we had planned - unfortunately it was crammed into one day. Here was the schedule:
Breakfast out then to Wal-Mart for a new toy each! Home to play with the toy and then off to bowl and play miniature golf and spend time in an arcade - all at a nice new recreation place in town! Finally a late lunch before heading home. Needless to say we were all happy - and exhausted - that night!

Then today was an amazing time for our church as we were able to worship in our new sanctuary. It is an outstanding building that was prayed about for many years before finally coming to be this morning. It was a Palm Sunday our family will never forget as we worshipped and ate lunch with some of our dearest friends. If you don't have a church home or need a place to worship for Easter Sunday, I would invite you to visit Christ United Methodist Church.

This picture of the boys was taken on the grounds of the new building. I think it sums up the day and even the week perfectly. God bless each of you and may this Holy week find you in awe of our saviour, Jesus Christ!

I can't believe the new sanctuary is already completed. It was just a drawing on paper when we left!
